Haven't been to Swingbellys in a long time so decided to give it a try... first the renovations that were made look AWESOME! The Christmas lights, tree, the lights inside, the wall was taken down and booths were taken out but boy does it look amazing the ambiance was killer and the new light up sign and art is great. I came on a Tuesday and went in knowing exactly what I wanted... FRIED CHICKEN and that's exactly what I got. It was a huge portion and took a bit of time but the server did tell us ahead of time that it takes about 20 minutes because they cook it fresh. I got the Mac and cheese as my side and it was just a perfect meal. Who doesn't love chicken and Mac? I wanted a drink and our wonderful server recommended one of their new drinks it was something with apple in it and it was a perfect addition to my meal. Our servers name started with an "A" it was Amanda or Ashley but she was awesome! The service made the whole experience that much better.. she told us about all the specials they offer on other days so I will definitely be coming back more often. I recommend this place 100%
Best BBQ in Nassau county Long Island BY FAR. I have been coming to Swingbellys for about 15 years and they have always been pretty dang good. Their Mac & cheese is ridiculous, swings are huge and quite an experience for wing lovers and their monster margaritas are always a great time and conversation starter. Their service is normally pretty slow but the food quality and drink selections make up for it in my opinion. Do yourself a favor and go grab some swings, mac & Pete and a monster marg!
My son and his friends go there pretty regularly and they constantly rave about the food. He said it looks like nothing from the outside but the food and service are tops.
Ordered Full rack with beans and slaw and 6 wings. Ribs and slaw were great, beans were ok. Wing were huge and tasty but one still had a feather in it.
I ordered the freebie fried pickles and extra sauce but did not receive this a star deduction.
Cool joint. Took the family and wanted to try everything. Ordered the Swingbelly challenge and split it with my wife. Idk how anyone eats that whole platter in an hour! The leftovers fed us both again the next night and I still had about three St. Louis ribs remaining after that. Had to get the Monday special Monster Margaritas; at 32 oz they did not disappoint. First round was really tasty, second round was really strong. No complaints here! Burnt ends nachos were crispy and delicious with lots of toppings. Parents had some pulled pork tacos for $3 each and a pulled pork Sammy. Kids didn't like the Mac n cheese (I don't get it either) but the waitress was super nice and accommodating and swapped it out for a kids burger which they devoured. BBQ sauce was solid and there's plenty more apps I want to try next time. Only negative was the staff chose the YES broadcast over the SNY broadcast for the Subway Series game (call me a bitter Mets fan). Everything was worth the price, which was very reasonable for a BBQ place where platters can usually get pricey
Sat outside because it is very loud inside. Our waitress was amazing. Very attentive and friendly. Ordered a specialty drink and it was super strong - added more ice and lemons and it correctly the taste. I got the combo rib and chicken plate which the meat itself was amazing. The sides are just ok. Cornbread just ok. Brisket was really good.
Being from New York, especially from the south shore it's hard to find good bbq, not only is it hard to find good bbq, but it's also hard to find a place that just gets you and your personality. A place where you can really hang your hat, and the food matches your personality. Swing Belly's BBQ is that place! From the awesome license plate wall, to the wooden floors and walls making me feel like I'm back in my grandparents basement parties, to the rad ceiling of old beer taps which proves that this place is also a party. Now.....the food!? .......DYNAMITE!!!! Just when you think how can this entree be topped, it's topped by something even more amazing. This is what bbq is supposed to taste like! The brisket, Mac and cheese, nachos, burgers and the almighty brunch! All of it just worth every moment and penny! Perfect for dates, hanging out, and to take to the beach and ride that bbq wave! Go there and be apart of the flavor of your lives!
Swings never disappoints. For food or drinks its always a good time! Highly recommend the Mac and Cheese as I literally think about it about twice a week, its that good!
Wings are on point, Monday night tacos and monster margs are amazing. Usually go with the Shrimp Tacos but really everything on the menu is good!
Tuesday Fried Chicken special was awesome, with a great salad , waffle cornbread and fries. Service was friendly, courteous and attentive. Plenty of beers to choose from. Check it out after a beach day!
